The Harzer-Hexen-Stieg runs for a length of 97 kilometers through Germany.

The difficulty of the trail is rated as easy and it usually takes 5 days to walk the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg.
Of course, how long it really takes for the trail depends on the experience and fitness of the hikers.

The drinking water supply is on the way no problem, since there are numerous possibilities to fill up the water supplies.
This can be done, for example, at streams, springs, but also at wells or public facilities. However, the water may have to be filtered before drinking!

On the trail food supply is less of an issue. As a rule, you can either buy groceries every day or eat in a hut or restaurant.
Nevertheless, it is important to carry an appropriate supply with you.

You can stay overnight in a tent/tarp and in guesthouses/hotels along the way.

Wild camping on the trail is a gray area As always, leave behind no traces . Rubbish has to be taken away and nature has to be respected and protected!

Campfires are currently prohibited. However, this can change at any time.
Therefore, please be sure to pay attention to public notices and a possible risk of forest fires..
In addition, new fireplaces should never be built, but existing ones should be used.

hexenstieg..... kein Punkt, keine Empfehlung!!!

Macht lieber einen anderen Weg! Der Brocken ist von jedem total Gehbehinderten besetzt / bevölkert.... die letzten Meter dahin und wieder zurück - Asphaltstraße, für viele viele Kilometer. Auch davor, fast ausschließlich ewig lange Schotterpisten, langweilig und nun, aktuell auch noch in der prallen Sonne... weil die Forst durch die 100%ige Monokultur den gesamten Waldbestand verloren hat. Einziger Vorteil dadurch, man hat viele Weitblicke. Kaum bis "gar keine" echten schicken Trails..... also, sind eher die absolute Ausnahme. Dann, miese Ausschilderung, teilweise Wege nicht sauber präpariert. Bauden zu wenig, unfreundlich oder geschlossen. Unterkünfte nur wenige und dann oft eben so gelegt, dass man auf die riesigen "Tourist-Butzen" angewiesen ist. Zelt- und alles andere VERBOT im Nationalpark. Auf der anderen Seite fährt die Mittelalterbahn unter Dampf auf den Brocken - versteht man nicht, wieso und warum. Einzig "ganz nette Ecke"... das Bodetal. Aber dafür den ganzen Weg machen - NOPE. Gönnt Euch lieber den Malerweg, notfalls nur einzelne Etappen davon!!!!
